WHY NORD THERAPY
_______
_______
Most therapists understand pressure from a textbook. I understand it from the inside.
Before becoming a therapist, I spent 18 years in Division I athletics — five competing and thirteen coaching, including nine years at Columbia University. I've been in high-expectation environments where discipline, resilience, and performance aren't abstract concepts. They're daily realities.
That background shapes how I work. I don't need the culture explained to me. I understand what it costs to operate at a high level — and the particular way that driven, capable people can struggle while looking like everything is fine.

ABOUT MY WORK
Direct, collaborative,
and grounded in reality.
Therapy here is direct and collaborative. I'm not a passive listener — I'm an active participant in the work.
Sessions are structured but not rigid. We examine the beliefs and narratives shaping how you interpret your experiences, challenge the assumptions keeping you stuck, and build practical tools for navigating pressure, uncertainty, and change.
There is both warmth and honesty in this work. At times it is serious. At times it includes humor and perspective. I'm interested in how you think — and in helping you think more clearly about what matters, what doesn't, and what you actually want to do next.
