MY APPROACH
Ultimately, therapy is about deliberate choice.
Ultimately, therapy is about deliberate choice. It requires learning to listen to your internal experience clearly enough to decide what you want to commit to, what you are willing to let go of, and how you want to move forward.
Therapy here is structured and reflective, drawing on REBT, ACT, and existential philosophy. We examine the beliefs and narratives shaping your emotional responses, clarify your values, and build practical flexibility in how you respond to stress and uncertainty.
We will challenge patterns and assumptions that may be keeping you stuck — particularly the conclusions you carry about yourself, others, and what is possible. Together, we decide which of those assumptions still serve you, and which no longer do.
THE KINDS OF MEN I WORK WITH
I work primarily with adults in demanding environments — professionals under sustained pressure, people navigating significant transitions, and those with a competitive or athletic background. Many of my clients are high achievers who are used to pushing through difficulty and are encountering something they can't simply outwork.

WHY WORK WITH ME
Before becoming a therapist, I spent 18 years in Division I athletics and combat sports — as a wrestler, then as a coach, most recently as Associate Head Coach at Columbia University. I'm trained at the Albert Ellis Institute, the birthplace of REBT.
That background has helped me understand high-achieving, demanding environments from the inside, not just from a textbook. If you're someone who's used to pushing through, that's the headspace I work in every day.
FEE STRUCTURE
Individual sessions are $225 for 45 minutes.
For clients with out-of-network benefits, reimbursement is typically 60–80% of your insurer's allowed amount — meaningfully reducing your out-of-pocket cost once your deductible is met. HSA/FSA funds may also be applied when eligible. It's recommended to call your insurance company in advance to confirm your out-of-network mental health benefits
Limited sliding scale availability may be offered when appropriate.
